The new trend among treadmills: The Curved Treadmill, a treadmill without a motor at all. Some people are familiar with Assault's AirRunner from CrossFit® training. But outside of the CrossFit® box or gym, the AirRunner is the ideal training tool for your workout. Here we explain the advantages of the AirRunner compared to classic treadmills.

How does a Curved Treadmill work?

For a conventional treadmill, especially the horsepower number is an important criterion for the buyer. This affects the maximum speed of the treadmill and thus directly the possible speed of the runner. This is then accompanied by running quality and athletic success

The Curved Treadmill works without a motor and electricity. As the name implies, the treadmill has a curved slat belt. This curvature allows the runner to set the treadmill in motion through muscle power alone.

The advantages of the Assault AirRunner:

Say goodbye to repetitive and boring treadmill workouts. The AssaultRunner is a new breed of running machine that is completely athlete-powered, meaning you're in control of your stride, speed and output. Are you ready to take your training back into your own hands?

The AssaultRunner is the most versatile, easy-to-use and effective non-motorized treadmill available today. Powered by your own stride, the AssaultRunner matches your output and then pushes you to give even more. It's low-impact design also helps promote proper running form and even prevents injury. Plus, the AssaultRunner compact construction means that it's portable enough to move easily from room-to-room or across a crowded gym floor.

The curvature results in a pleasant and natural walking sensation. Likewise, the curvature provides natural cushioning. Running on the AirRunner is therefore particularly easy on the joints. No adjustments to the treadmill are necessary.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Speed without limit
  • Simple operation
  • Safety
  • Natural running feeling
  • Training benefits
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Low maintenance

Who is the AirRunner suitable for?

In principle, you can say that the AirRunner is suitable for everyone. Due to the lack of a motor, it is possible to walk slowly, hike, run moderately or do fast sprints. However, due to the special properties in terms of fast changes of pace, the treadmill is used more by experienced runners or as part of CrossFit® training.
